<p>Acne is actually caused by a bacterial infection of the skin pores, which is worsened by hormones. When these infections occur they will be manifested as blackheads, whiteheads, pimples. Severe cases of acne can cause permanent scarring, which is why it is good to try to control it before it becomes too severe.</p>
<p>Anti acne creams usually have ingredients in them that help fight against acne in different ways. Some acne creams have a combination of ingredients. Most creams will either kill the acne producing bacteria, or break down and cleanse the material that is clogging the skin pores.  Common ingredients used in creams include benzoyl peroxide, resourcinal, salicylic acis and sulphur.</p>
